KUNDALINI YOGA

Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of Awareness and is suitable for those looking to expedite their spiritual growth and healing. The practice provides an experience beyond the limits of time and space—an experience of the depth of one’s soul and true identity. This direct experience of one’s higher self builds a platform of strength, radiance and security from which to live life fully.

Kundalini Yoga is the oldest of all traditional forms of yoga and is considered to be ‘the mother’ of all yogas. It is a physical and meditative discipline in which you play with your relationship to the Quantum Field of possibilities through kriyas (specific sequences), asanas (postures), pranayama (breath), meditation and mantra as well as through relaxation and contemplation. Kundalini refers to the energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine. Through the practice of yoga, this energy rises and travels up the spine, through the chakras, creating an overall sense of wellbeing and a heightened sense of awareness. The word Kundalini literally translates as “coiled female serpent”.

Kundalini Yoga is rejuvenating, energising, and healing, physically as well as emotionally. Deep peace, happiness and a strong sense of connection to both ourselves and the source of all life is our birthright. Kundalini Yoga, when practiced with regularity, offers a clear process by which to discover these states experientially.

Kundalini Yoga awakens dormant energy, channelling it safely so that it can burn through blockages that keep us trapped in old, limiting patterns. Working directly with the glandular system, Kundalini Yoga stimulates brain function and strengthens the nervous and immune systems. It conditions and tones the muscles, organs, nervous system and mind to create a strong overall system that can then safely channel the kundalini energy awakened by the practice. There are thousands of kriyas (exercises) and meditations and it is therefore possible to tailor your practice to treat whatever ails you, be it stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, confusion - or the physical, emotional and mental toll wrought by old trauma.

We are one species, each of us part of the collective consciousness of humanity. There is no more powerful act of service to the whole at this time than to heal yourself. Not only will you be happier, lighter and freer, you’re directly contributing to the upliftment of humanity. Take your healing into your own hands, become master of yourself, and learn to be at greater peace with whatever unfolds in the Here and Now. Instead of railing against what is, be a part of creating the new world by birthing the new you!
